I recently came across an article posted via Dirks Fund about Rylee, a 2-yr old Pyrenees. According to Bob, founder/director: “Rylee was found with her 3 puppies, who all went to rescue but no one wanted Rylee because she was missing part of her front leg. We believe that she got caught in a trap. We are working with The Saint Louis Science Center to make her a new paw using 3-D printer technology. She smiles and is a happy critter in spite of her paw missing.She is in a foster home and loving it.” I was so touched by Rylee’s story that I have offered to sketch this sweet pup and donate the portrait to Dirk’s Fund, where it will be auctioned off to raise money for Rylee’s veterinary bills.
