I’ve started a new portrait, this time of “Jake”, my cousin’s beloved companion who passed away earlier this year. I love his happy expression, one of the best I’ve seen! So as usual, I begin sketching in his eyes and move around his head identifying the darkest areas of his face.
I begin Jake’s portrait by drawing his eyes, nose and other dark areas.
I am very happy with how Jake finished up, and so is my cousin. Thank you for following along with my progress. I have many portraits in the queue, I will begin the next one right after the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
