My next portrait is a double, and a memorial. This time it’s Tyler (’07) and Calvin (’12). I am using a slightly different technique for this project. Instead of drawing with graphite on bright white paper (where white colors are left blank, or subtracted), I am using Prismacolor pencil on Strathmore Toned Tan paper, where the whites will be added. Below is my reference photo of Tyler, and my initial progress on his eyes.

Art from the Heart
It is a great joy to be a professional pet portrait artist, where I can combine my love of animals and art. It is also nice to know that my art makes people happy, and in some cases helps them recover after the loss of their pet. Every drawing I do is a labor of love, and every portrait is as unique as the animal it portrays. It would be a pleasure to work with you on your own one-of-a-kind pet portrait! Contact me here.
